For over twenty years, First Article Inc. has exceeded the most demanding customer expectations and requirements. The company specializes in CNC machining – milling, turning, and EDM – and the assembly of complex surgical instruments and tools. First Article Inc. offers three, four, and five axis milling, CNC turning, and up to eight-axis machining on Swiss CNC’s. The company also has an EDM (electrical-discharge machining) department, laser welding capabilities, and well-rounded finishing capabilities (ultrasonic cleaning, passivation, tumbling, and bead blasting).
Our products include all sorts of titanium and stainless steel components, implantable titanium bone plates, PEEK implants, and complex aluminum housings used during surgical procedures. The customer base includes companies across the entire country.
Machining and assembly services.
First Article Inc. has an impressive lineup of machine tools: nearly thirty CNC mills and lathes, including six state-of-the-art Swiss CNC’s and several 5-axis machining centers. We complement this with an EDM department, laser welding, and various conventional machine tools including engine lathes, manual mills, a hydraulic-feed surface grinder, and others.
Our assembly department produces complex surgical instruments and medical assemblies. Our assemblers can swage, straighten, and assemble the most intricate devices, and we can laser etch your logo, part number, and lot number directly on the finished device.
Project management, quality assurance and quality control.
First Article Inc. has a rigorous quality management system. We are certified to ISO 13485:2016 and comply with all FDA regulations set forth in 21 CFR 820. Quality assurance proactively establishes quality procedures and policies, while quality control verifies that al product meets customer specifications. Our company has a fully staffed quality control department, and we offer coverage on every shift.
Every order is important to us! We use the RealTrac ERP system to track the progress of every order as it moves through our shop and to collect all required documents and production data. We can offer real-time status reports on every project!
